The Livestock Conservancy's mission is to protect endangered and rare livestock breeds across America, but they do so much more than that. They support local farmers and work with the farming community to help them thrive by connecting them to resources and other breeders.

When asked why they have been so successful their Director of Development Karena Elliot was happy to share their secret with us on the show. "I have one word” she said "That’s people. We have the best volunteer board in the world. Staff would be the next part of that answer. They take the time to help members one on one.”
